About the role

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Business Development Manager to prospect small to medium customers in the DACH market at Pliant. The ideal candidate will focus on establishing new strong relationships in the fintech space and understanding their needs, collaborating with the Customer Success team to drive long-term growth.

What you'll do

  • Conduct discovery calls, demos, and closing of inbound partner leads
  • Create best practices on how to reach new customers and retain them in the DACH market
  • Take ownership and communicate skilfully to contact potential customers and build a strong customer pipeline
  • Know your contact's needs and problems, ask the right questions and listen to them in order to pick up your customers where they are at the moment
  • Put yourself in your customers' shoes and identify for them how Pliant can deliver the most value to them

What you'll need

  • 2-4 years previous work experience in the banking or financial services industry in a customer facing role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal, especially with inbound partner leads and eager to do outbound outreach when ready
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop your career in a fast paced Fintech environment
  • Fluent German, along with English or any additional European languages (particularly Dutch) would be an advantage
  • Berlin based ideally with hybrid work model in place
