About the role
As a Credit Risk Manager, you will be responsible for credit risk assessment of EEA and UK SME and corporate clients. You will own a book of large credit exposures and be involved in continuously improving standards, documentation and tech stack.
What you'll do
- Assess who our customers are, how and with whom they operate their business model, what their public and financial profiles are.
- Analyze business and financial information of our customers (e.g., credit agency reports, financial statements, bank account statements), write up the key risks and mitigants and conclude.
- Decide on limit requests of our customers within your delegated authority and help us build and maintain a performing loan book.
- Own multiple high-limit customers and groups of customers, know them inside out, follow their development over time, and monitor their risk profiles that you present to the credit risk committee.
- Help build scalable yet compliant straight-through processes, including the utilization of AI capabilities.
- Ensure a smooth and fact-based information flow between colleagues and support the development of a culture of open dialogue.
What you'll need
- Minimum 3-6 years of operational experience in credit risk assessment for EEA or UK corporate or SME customers from a bank or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and industry-specific financial analysis.
- Analytical thinking, detail orientation and ability to quickly understand new problems and systems and work out solutions.
- Experience with tools used for loan processing, credit decisioning, and BI.
- Project management skills and demonstrated ability to design and steer complex projects end to end.
- Fluent English with very good writing skills.
