Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

You will design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment working alongside highly ambitious and knowledgeable Engineers on complex problems that affect customers on a global scale.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment
• Manage individual project priorities and deliverables whilst working in a team who enjoy knowledge sharing sessions
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology
• Work within your cross-functional team to uphold the highest technical standards right across the product

What you'll need

• Vast experience in developing software in large-scale production systems, ideally using Golang
• Great foundation in microservice principles, event sourcing, cloud-native infrastructure, and clean code best practices
• Comfortable with both relational and non-relational databases
• Proven track record working in agile and cross-functional teams with a strong focus on quality and delivery
• Proficient in English with effective communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech or in the payments domain
