About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Associate to join our high-performing Investments team in Berlin. In this role, you will collaborate with leading private equity managers, drive strategic initiatives, and support new product launches. This position offers hands-on exposure to diverse private equity strategies and the opportunity to take ownership of impactful responsibilities while building meaningful industry relationships from day one.
What you'll do
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and models in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities
- Develop a deep understanding of the private markets through exposure to multiple strategies, including Buyout, Growth, Venture Capital, Secondaries, Infrastructure, and Private Debt
- Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports for primary fund investments, co-investments, and secondary transactions
- Drive strategic initiatives, including the launch of new products and cross-functional projects
- Monitor and report on fundraising performance, contributing to achieving target fundraise goals
- Design and refine presentations in PowerPoint to summarise findings and recommendations
- Cross collaborate internally to ensure seamless execution and commercialisation of investment opportunities
- Contextualise data and insights from multiple sources to provide clear, actionable conclusions
What you'll need
- Minimum of 2 years relevant financial services experience in areas such as investment banking, transaction services, private markets, consulting firms, or a start-up
- Proven technical and analytical skills, with experience conducting financial valuation analysis
- High proficiency in Excel, including financial and valuation modeling
- Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
- Refined research skills and commitment to finding the most accurate data available
- Highly collaborative and understands the value in sharing information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Natural ability at building relationships and the ability to listen and persuade
