Investment Associate

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Associate to join our high-performing Investments team in Berlin. In this role, you will collaborate with leading private equity managers, drive strategic initiatives, and support new product launches. This position offers hands-on exposure to diverse private equity strategies and the opportunity to take ownership of impactful responsibilities while building meaningful industry relationships from day one.

What you'll do

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and models in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities
• Develop a deep understanding of the private markets through exposure to multiple strategies, including Buyout, Growth, Venture Capital, Secondaries, Infrastructure, and Private Debt
• Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports for primary fund investments, co-investments, and secondary transactions
• Drive strategic initiatives, including the launch of new products and cross-functional projects
• Monitor and report on fundraising performance, contributing to achieving target fundraise goals
• Design and refine presentations in PowerPoint to summarise findings and recommendations
• Cross collaborate internally to ensure seamless execution and commercialisation of investment opportunities
• Contextualise data and insights from multiple sources to provide clear, actionable conclusions

What you'll need

• Minimum of 2 years relevant financial services experience in areas such as investment banking, transaction services, private markets, consulting firms, or a start-up
• Proven technical and analytical skills, with experience conducting financial valuation analysis
• High proficiency in Excel, including financial and valuation modeling
• Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
• Refined research skills and commitment to finding the most accurate data available
• Highly collaborative and understands the value in sharing information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Natural ability at building relationships and the ability to listen and persuade
