About the role
We are looking for a Product Designer who lives at the intersection of high-end design aesthetics and technical innovation. You will own the end-to-end journey of specific product domains - from deep-dive discovery and user research, to high-fidelity prototyping and developer handoff, working in a cross-functional team to turn complex regulatory requirements into elegant, effortless experiences.
What you'll do
- End-to-End Ownership: As the sole designer, manage the entire design process: mapping user journeys, wireframing, creating seamless workflows, and building interactive prototypes in Figma across our suite of data-heavy products and solutions.
- Engineering Collaboration & Design QA: Work closely with the engineering team from final hand-off through development and perform thorough Design QA to ensure all shipped features match your designs and maintain a high standard of quality.
- Data-Informed Iteration: Partner directly with the Product Team to review A/B test results, usage data, and session recordings to identify friction points and iterate on live features.
- Marketing & Brand Support: Assist the Marketing team by creating digital visuals and marketing materials, ensuring Mondu's brand remains cohesive and impactful across all touchpoints.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with cross-functional stakeholders, presenting your concepts and advocating for design choices using clear, data-driven logic.
- Design for Trust: Create intuitive onboarding and verification flows that simplify "Know Your Customer" (KYC) processes while maintaining transparency and security.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, ideally within FinTech, B2B SaaS, or a similarly complex regulated industry.
- You understand that "simple" is hard and have a track record of taking complex financial workflows and making them scannable and actionable.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma (variables, auto-layout, and advanced prototyping).
- Strategic thinking: You can articulate the business impact of your design decisions to stakeholders.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience working at speed, building the plane while already flying.
Nice to have
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop) to support visual and marketing requests.
- Prior experience building, scaling, or managing comprehensive design systems.
What they offer
- 1000 EUR per year for learning & development.
- 28 vacation days per year (increasing 1 day every year up to 30).
- Office in Berlin 3+ days a week with Workation policy for up to 6 weeks per year outside Germany.
- 46 EUR per month towards DeutschlandTicket.
- Subsidised gym membership.
- Flat hierarchy with 360 feedback and career development opportunities.
