Working Student Data Engineer - Cloud & Platform Engineering

About the role

Join the Data Lake Platform team, which provides the secure and self-service foundation for all data at MOIA. The team builds and operates the central data infrastructure that enables teams to ingest, store, access, and manage data in a compliant and cost-efficient way.

What you'll do

• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and access layers using Apache Spark, Iceberg, and AWS services such as Lambda, and S3.
• Develop scalable workflow automation improving our CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Support the management and maintenance of SageMaker Unified Studio.
• Work hands-on with the newest AI-Tools and enable others to use them even more productively.

What you'll need

• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's or Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Enrolled for at least one year.
• Programming skills in Python and knowledge of the Typescript ecosystem.
• Effective communication skills and interest in being part of a highly autonomous team.
• Professional-level English.
• Familiarity working with data or AWS Cloud is a plus.
