About the role
As a (Senior) Brand Design Manager, you'll sit at the heart of the Brand Design unit within the Brand team. You'll coordinate and enable a small, hands-on creative team day-to-day, including freelancers, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support business objectives through clear, distinctive, and scalable brand and creative assets.
What you'll do
- Act as the central contact for brand design requests across the organization, coordinating initiatives with internal teams, freelancers, and external partners
- Plan, prioritize, and manage the Brand Design team's workload, ensuring a balanced setup across senior designers, lead roles, and external support
- Own the quality of brand design briefs by clarifying requirements, defining scopes, and establishing clear priorities before execution
- Translate business and brand needs into clear design frameworks and priorities - shaping solutions, not just managing requests
- Support the development of MOIA's brand identity, ensuring consistent and high-quality application across all channels and touchpoints
- Create, maintain, and manage brand design assets, libraries, guidelines, and mandatories, keeping them accessible and up to date
- Further develop brand design processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency, clarity, and creative quality
- Lead collaboration with agencies, freelancers, and suppliers from briefing through to delivery
What you'll need
- Professional experience in brand design, brand management, or a comparable role, ideally within an in-house brand or brand design team
- Strong understanding of brand identity systems and their application across channels - digital, motion, print, and physical touchpoints
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, freelancers, and agencies - you understand creative processes and know how to work effectively with external partners
- Confidence in capacity planning, prioritization, and coordination across multiple projects and stakeholders in agile, fast-paced environments
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered design and productivity tools (e.g. Midjourney, ChatGPT, Claude or similar) - or a genuine openness to adopting them
- Hands-on, structured, and reliable working style with a sharp eye for detail and quality
- Strong team player who creates clarity, transparency, and shared ownership
- Familiarity with design tools and brand asset management systems (Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, Miro, Jira)
What they offer
- Competitive salary including bonus
- Hybrid work setup with flexibility on frequency and location
- Flexible working hours and arrangements for various personal needs
- Home office budget and monthly expense allowance
- Remote work from outside Germany for up to 6 weeks per year from over 35 countries
- Fully subsidized public transport ticket, fitness membership or bike leasing, 30 vacation days, mental health support, and learning environment with continuous development
