About the role

The Vehicle Foundation team boosts the vehicle feature development process by providing foundational features. You will develop modern automated solutions for hardware and software platforms by covering tooling, observability, security, and provisioning, while maintaining stable in-vehicle features and connectivity suited to the ridepooling experience.

What you'll do

  • Design and operate cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Research and develop passenger management systems for an autonomous mobility service.
  • Bridge the data flow of the AWS-based backend infrastructure and the in-vehicle components using AWS IoT services (e.g., telemetry data, camera stream, metrics, authentication, logs).
  • Improve the CICD infrastructure responsible for building and distributing embedded software releases.
  • Integrate AI coding assistants in the development process.
  • Work in a bottom-up managed, autonomous, cross-functional team together with other talented engineers.
  • Participate in the full development life cycle, from design to implementation, quality assurance and maintenance.

What you'll need

  • Proficiency in Golang, and an interest in touching other languages such as Typescript, Python.
  • Experience with AWS IoT and serverless technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS.
  • Experience with IaC, eg: CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Experience with CICD tools such as Github Actions, AWS CodeBuild, or Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with container solutions such as Docker and communication protocols used to connect edge devices, such as MQTT.
  • Interest in DevOps tools such as Ansible and Kubernetes.
  • General understanding of the Linux platform and general interest in embedded development (in C++).
  • Strong collaboration skills throughout code reviews, pair programming, providing constructive feedback, and team communication.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ROS2.
  • Knowledge of current trends in software design, event-driven architecture, DevOps, AI assisted development and a strong interest in further development.
