About the role
As a Data Engineer in the Energy Transition Domain, you'll help build data foundations together with a team of machine learning engineers and energy experts. You'll work on solving pressing challenges in the energy transition by ensuring reliable data flows from source to prediction.
What you'll do
- Deal with delayed and evolving data sources
- Industrialize machine learning solutions
- Ensure reliable data flows from source to prediction
- Create robust infrastructure
- Build data foundations for projects ranging from grid congestion management to portfolio position optimization and investment analysis
What you'll need
- A degree in Physics, Mathematics, Energy Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience with Git, APIs, CI/CD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- A consultancy mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
- An interest in understanding the business context behind the data and willingness to engage with complex energy domain problems
- An affinity with energy systems, energy markets, and energy-related data, or strong motivation to develop that expertise
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience working with machine learning systems, particularly forecasting, optimization, or decision-support applications
- Experience building data-intensive applications, platforms, or pipelines
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines (batch and streaming) and data platforms
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools
- Experience in the energy sector, utilities, or electricity markets
