AI Platform Engineer - Enterprise Intelligence

Build the core of Unum's Enterprise Superintelligence platform. You'll work across every layer of the stack, from adoption-focused user experiences to core platform infrastructure, deploying governed autonomous agents that safely integrate with enterprise data and execute complex workflows in production.

What you'll do

• Build high impact applications and tools that accelerate Unum's solutions, applying AI models in novel ways to solve real world customer and internal workflow problems.
• Identify real needs and build technical solutions around them, working across the full lifecycle: prototype, iterate, ship, maintain and stay close to the problem you're solving.
• Translate AI capabilities into clean, trustworthy experiences by thinking carefully about how what you build is used – by end users, by colleagues, or by other systems.
• Design how AI agents present their findings and ask for feedback.

What you'll need

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in software/product engineering with a proven track record of shipping end-to-end products.
• Proficiency in Python and in building full stack applications.
• Experience building LLM powered workflows using common LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure.
• Engineering mindset: think about why something needs to exist, who it serves, and how it fits into the broader vision.

Nice to have

• Former founder or early engineer at a start up who built a product from scratch.
• Experience with TypeScript and Terraform.
