As a Food Developer, you will play a key role in shaping and expanding KoRo's diverse product portfolio – from initial concept to market launch. This role brings together creativity in ideas, food formulation and food processing, blending it with a strong sense of market trends and delivered through a structured project execution.

What you'll do

  • Identify trends, market opportunities, and gaps in the existing assortment to propose new product concepts.
  • Develop and implement product ideas in line with KoRo's overall product strategy and brand vision.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process: briefing, sampling, internal coordination, testing, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Management, Legal, Operations, and Marketing to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Keep up with innovations in the food industry, including new technologies, ingredients, and consumer trends.

What you'll need

  • 2+ years of professional experience in product development within the food industry.
  • University degree in food technology, nutrition science, product management, or a comparable field.
  • Live in Berlin/the surrounding area or willing to relocate.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).
  • Strong grasp of quality standards, sensory evaluation, and end-to-end product lifecycle processes.
  • Refined understanding of taste, texture, and ingredient functionality with confidence evaluating and iterating on product samples.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on mentality – take initiative, work independently, and push projects forward with ownership and speed.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate technically with suppliers and effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
