About the role
Own the validation and verification of Klim's Agricultural Land Management (ALM) projects end to end, making sure every credit issued stands up to the most rigorous international standards. Run the day-to-day execution of certification cycles, ensuring full compliance with international GHG accounting and carbon crediting standards.
What you'll do
- Own the delivery of certification for projects across internal and external stakeholder groups
- Author and coordinate the development of Project Design Documents (PDDs) and GHG monitoring reports, ensuring methodological rigour and alignment with applicable standards and registry requirements
- Lead the coordination of external validation of PDDs and verification of GHG Reports with accredited auditing bodies, managing timelines, evidence packages, and auditor queries
- Streamline and continuously improve internal certification workflows, from initial documentation through final credit issuance, to reduce cycle times and increase process reliability
- Act as the go-to on project methodology topics for the commercial, partnerships, and product teams, translating complex certification requirements into actionable guidance
- Stay current with evolving carbon market standards, registry rules, and regulatory developments and proactively adapt Klim's certification approach accordingly
- Maintain productive relationships with validation and verification bodies, registry representatives, and external technical reviewers
What you'll need
- Degree in environmental science, agronomy, climate policy, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in GHG project certification, carbon credit validation/verification, or climate-related auditing
- Strong working knowledge of international carbon standards and methodologies (ISO 14064, Verra VCS, EU CRCF, or equivalent)
- Experience writing or reviewing PDDs and monitoring reports
- Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Clear, precise written and verbal communication in English
