About the role

As Senior Strategic Partner Manager DE/PL, you will own Hive's delivery, freight, and fulfillment partner portfolio across Germany and Poland, while leading a small, high-impact team. You'll be accountable for everything from commercial partner relationships down to operational performance at our partner sites, and be the face of operations for these two markets.

What you'll do

  • Own the full DE/PL partner portfolio end-to-end (delivery, freight, and fulfilment), from contract terms and commercial performance through to operational performance, including business reviews with key partners
  • Lead negotiations with Hive's most strategic carrier and fulfilment partners, driving cost efficiency without compromising service
  • Set the strategic vision for the DE/PL network (partner mix, capability gaps)
  • Lead and develop a team of two: set clear targets, coach on both commercial and operational topics, remove blockers, and hold a high bar
  • Be the face of Hive Ops for DE/PL, internally with the Growth Team and Merchant Care; externally with carriers, 3PLs, and fulfilment partners
  • Be the go-to escalation point internally for all DE/PL Ops topics across Slack, business reviews, and cross-functional projects

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, consulting, or a fast-growth startup, ideally with exposure to both commercial partner management and operational/network performance
  • Experience leading people through direct reports, mentoring, or strong matrix leadership, and knowing how to set direction, coach, and hold others to a high bar without micromanaging
  • Track record of managing commercial relationships end-to-end with carriers, 3PLs, freight or fulfilment providers, or similar external partners, including negotiating contracts and driving cost down
  • Comfortable getting into operational detail (site performance, SLAs, root-cause analysis) and actually enjoy spending time on the warehouse floor or in the sorting center
  • Owner mentality: you take decisions independently, move fast, and treat the DE/PL business like it's your own
  • Analytically strong and confident using data to drive negotiations, partner conversations, and operational decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German
