Team Lead Product Analytics

About the role

As a Team Lead for Product Analytics, you will be at the forefront of our data-driven culture, leading a team of talented analysts to shape the future of our product. You will define the analytical vision for your domain, own the team's shared roadmap, and take full ownership of the analytical outcomes that empower our product teams.

What you'll do

• Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of product analysts, fostering their professional growth and owning the team's shared roadmap, allocating analysts to the highest-impact initiatives based on business priorities.
• Spearhead the adoption of AI within analytical workflows, leveraging AI to automate routine tasks and create scalable self-service solutions, freeing up expert capacity for complex, strategic challenges.
• Own and shape business-critical analytical initiatives that accelerate product strategy, defining the domain's long-term analytical vision and proactively identifying and solving the most important business needs.
• Guide the team through a strategic transition, shifting focus from reactive, ad-hoc requests to proactive, high-impact analysis and scalable self-service solutions.
• Be accountable for the quality and business impact of the team's entire output, upholding high standards for experimentation and statistical rigor and managing strategic stakeholders end-to-end.
• Guide the team in owning and improving critical parts of the analytics stack, including experimentation, reporting, and data transformation models.

What you'll need

• Significant experience in data analysis and a proven track record of leading complex, interdisciplinary analytical projects from inception to business impact.
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role, with a passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in SQL and the modern data stack, including hands-on experience with dbt and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Strong, practical expertise in experimentation, including hypothesis formation, metric selection, and statistical evaluation with high statistical rigor.
• Demonstrated experience managing senior stakeholders, with the ability to translate business needs into an analytical roadmap and communicate complex findings clearly.
• A strategic mindset, connecting analytical work to company-level objectives and proactively identifying opportunities for impact.
• Fluent in German and English.

Nice to have

• Experience or deep interest in leveraging automation, advanced tooling, and AI to scale an analytics function.
• Claude Code experience.
