About the role
The Financial Reporting Analyst will report directly to the Head of Technical Accounting and Reporting and will contribute meaningfully to enhancing the group's reporting processes. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position to cover a period of parental leave while offering full integration into the Financial Reporting team with meaningful exposure to group-level reporting within a dynamic high-growth environment.
What you'll do
- Prepare the consolidated annual and quarterly financial reports in accordance with IFRS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop, document, and implement financial reporting policies, processes, and workflows.
- Champion the exploration and adoption of AI and other emerging tools within the reporting cycle to enhance our financial close and disclosure processes.
- Analyze financial data and present insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the integrity of financial information through the maintenance of robust internal controls and processes.
- Support coordination with external auditors, including the preparation of audit deliverables and timely resolution of queries.
What you'll need
- A minimum of 5 years in the finance department of a multinational or publicly listed company, ideally within the e-commerce sector.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS required.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and proficiency with large ERP systems (e.g. SAP); experience with Workiva or OneStream is a plus.
- Intellectual curiosity and a growth-oriented mindset - staying ahead of developments in accounting and financial reporting frameworks, with openness to exploring new ways of working to continuously improve processes.
- Superb written and verbal English communication skills across different audiences and can quickly build relationships with stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA) or an equivalent master's degree.
- Experience with Workiva or OneStream.
- German language skills and familiarity with German GAAP.
