About the role

You'll sit within the Assortment & Pricing team as an analyst for the pricing service and surrounding pricing & assortment tooling: digging into the data, scoping improvements, writing specs, and working alongside engineering to ship them. Your goal is to define and execute a strategy that is data-driven and as automated as possible.

What you'll do

  • Run the analyses that drive pricing and assortment decisions — pull your own data, build dashboards, surface what's working.
  • Scope and shape improvements to our pricing service and tooling; turn commercial problems into specs engineering can build against.
  • Help prioritise across new capabilities, operational reliability, and tech debt.
  • Bridge the Assortment & Pricing team and engineering so both sides have the context to ship.
  • Work with country stakeholders (Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance) to capture requirements and communicate timelines.
  • Rapidly build domain expertise in pricing, promotions, and assortment optimisation for online grocery.
  • Build pragmatic tooling and automations to free up time for the things that matter.

What you'll need

  • Analytical chops: strong SQL; you pull your own data, build your own dashboards, and spot when numbers don't add up.
  • Hands-on mentality: you get excited about getting your hands dirty rather than designing slides.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineering: you can scope a problem, write a clear spec, and follow it through to delivery.
  • Stakeholder fluency: you translate easily between technical and commercial language.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; German or Dutch is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of LLM/AI tooling for your own productivity.

Nice to have

  • Grocery, q-commerce, or retail experience, and/or work with rule-based or algorithmic pricing systems.
  • Familiarity with dbt, data pipelines, or internal tooling development.
  • Python proficiency; degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Engineering, or related.

What they offer

  • EUR 1,000 annual L&D budget and individual coaching
  • 26 days vacation, +1 day every year up to maximum 30 days
  • EUR 35 monthly Deutschland Ticket subsidy
  • Attractive company pension options
  • MyAcademy e-learning platform with online German courses
  • Modern, dog-friendly office in Berlin with nearby lunch options
