Forward Deployed Engineer, DevOps

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on DevOps, you'll build and scale dedicated infrastructure that powers custom agent integrations for key customers. You'll serve as the technical cornerstone enabling customer-facing engineers to deploy bespoke client solutions with speed and confidence through robust, automated platforms.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for hosting custom services developed by the Agent Integration Engineering team
• Create flexible CI/CD pipeline templates that integration teams can easily adopt for automated service deployment
• Champion Infrastructure as Code to create standardized yet customizable service environments
• Manage Kubernetes-based environments for diverse integration services with focus on security, isolation, and resource management
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions for deep visibility into service performance and health
• Serve as primary DevOps partner for Forward Deployed Engineering team, understanding workflows and removing infrastructure obstacles
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Go, or Bash to streamline integration service lifecycle
• Support and modernize legacy Azure infrastructure, transitioning workloads to standardized Kubernetes platform

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or similar role
• Strong customer-first mindset viewing Forward Deployed Engineering team as primary customer
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like Python, Go, or Bash
• Hands-on expertise with major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
• Proven experience creating flexible CI pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform highly preferred)
• Experience building self-service tools and platforms for development teams
