Director of Product Design

About the role

Lead product design strategy and team at Raisin, the world's leading savings and investment platform. Drive the integration of AI into customer-facing products and internal design operations while scaling a high-performing design organization. Shape the future of AI-enabled financial services design across web and mobile platforms.

What you'll do

• Set strategic design vision integrating AI into product strategy, defining intelligent systems, automation, and personalization while maintaining trust and compliance
• Shape AI-powered features including intelligent guidance, personalization, conversational experiences, and AI-assisted financial decision-making
• Drive adoption of AI-supported design workflows including research synthesis, rapid prototyping, and AI-generated content production
• Recruit, develop, and mentor product design teams while fostering experimentation culture and AI fluency
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver cohesive user experiences and identify AI opportunities
• Define scalable design processes and systems leveraging AI to increase velocity and insight quality
• Uphold design excellence standards across traditional and AI-powered experiences while maintaining brand consistency
• Champion user advocacy through research and data, ensuring inclusive, accessible, and ethically responsible AI design

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years product design experience with 5+ years leading design teams at scale
• Strong portfolio showcasing design excellence, systems thinking, and user-centered problem solving
• Proven experience scaling design teams in tech-driven environments, ideally fintech or B2C digital services
• Experience designing data-driven or AI-powered product experiences
• Strong understanding of AI capabilities and implications for UX, trust, transparency, and compliance
• Expertise in end-to-end product design from research to implementation
• Deep knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design
• Strong business acumen balancing user needs, AI capabilities, technical constraints, and business goals
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to inspire and align stakeholders
