Lead Product Manager - Tax Advisor Platform

About the role

You'll lead product strategy for an AI-powered Tax Advisor platform that enables internal teams and external tax accountants to deliver outstanding service to Assisted customers. This is a strategic role within the Product organization, focusing on leveraging AI to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance across tax operations.

What you'll do

• Define and evolve product strategy and roadmap for the Tax Advisor Platform with AI-first approach
• Build deep understanding of user needs across internal teams, tax advisors, and end customers
• Establish structured feedback loops to identify pain points and automation opportunities
• Develop market understanding and navigate regulatory constraints
• Balance customer value and enterprise value through clear trade-offs and prioritization
• Drive hypothesis-driven, AI-powered product management and experimentation
• Define KPIs and success metrics focused on operational efficiency and customer outcomes
• Build relationships across Engineering, Design, Data, Tax, Operations, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success
• Enable end-to-end delivery from discovery to shipping, owning AI evaluations and quality metrics

What you'll need

• 5+ years of product management experience at Senior Product Manager level in high-growth environment
• Proven hands-on experience building AI-first products, especially internal tools or operational products
• Experience driving AI-powered product development end-to-end in cross-functional environments
• Strong decision-making skills using qualitative and quantitative insights, user research, and data analysis
• Entrepreneurial mindset with track record of ownership and delivering measurable business impact
• Empathy and collaboration skills with deep care for user problems
• Clear communication style with ability to create data-informed narratives
• Fluency in English and German
