About the role
You'll support the Head of Tax with VAT matters and daily accounting tasks at a fast-growing automotive tech startup in Berlin. This includes handling VAT reporting for various EU entities, invoice verification, transaction booking, and assisting with transfer pricing documentation and year-end closing.
What you'll do
- Prepare regular VAT reports for various EU subsidiaries
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy
- Book transactions and maintain accounting records
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation
- Support year-end closing processes
- Handle cross-border VAT matters including intra-community supplies and margin schemes
What you'll need
- Experience with cross-border VAT (intra-community supplies, margin taxation)
- Very good German skills (minimum C1 level)
- Strong English proficiency (C1 level)
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-growing company with evolving processes
