Senior UX Researcher (German Speaker)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior User Researcher to deepen our understanding of user needs and shape product strategy at N26. You'll conduct impactful research that influences both product and company strategy while working directly with our German market users.

What you'll do

• Identify key research opportunities that address critical knowledge gaps and influence product and company strategy
• Design and execute multimethod research studies to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviors
• Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them to cross-functional teams
• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate research findings into product development
• Drive growth and scalability of the research discipline within N26
• Mentor and support junior researchers while maintaining high-quality standards

What you'll need

• Degree in HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Sciences, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience conducting user research in product-driven tech companies
• Native or C1-level German and English proficiency (mandatory requirement)
• Portfolio showcasing your work (required with application)
• Mastery of research methods including generative research, evaluative techniques, and survey design
• Strategic thinking ability to break down unstructured questions into actionable research plans
• Strong business acumen and understanding of product metrics
• Excellent collaboration, influence, and storytelling skills

Nice to have

• Knowledge of basic applied statistics and/or SQL
• Comfortable experimenting with AI in your workflow
