Engineering Manager - AI

About the role

This is an Engineering Manager position for Doctolib's AI team in Berlin, where you'll lead a collaborative team of 5+ engineers while serving as both a technical leader and people manager. You'll be responsible for building and scaling AI-based products that transform healthcare delivery for doctors and patients.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a high-performing collaborative team of 5+ engineers to meet business objectives
• Partner with talent and people teams to recruit, develop and retain engineering talent
• Build and empower a user-centric team delivering best-in-class internal and external user satisfaction
• Define mission, vision and roadmap for your team in collaboration with product partners
• Own end-to-end production, quality, and delivery while maintaining positive team engagement
• Set and exceed security, reliability, performance and scalability standards
• Drive continuous process improvements for managing and reviewing engineering projects
• Participate in architecture reviews to ensure solutions meet Doctolib quality standards

What you'll need

• 6+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of management experience
• Experience scaling and leading a technical organization of 5+ members
• Strong technical skills working on complex and scalable systems, especially AI (LLM/ML) based products
• Effective communication skills to translate company goals into team objectives
• Critical and objective thinking with solutions-oriented approach
