Senior Accountant Finance Operations

About the role

As Senior Accountant in Finance Operations at Taxfix, you'll own the month-end close and annual financial statements for international subsidiaries while helping shape AI-driven accounting workflows. You'll work in a collaborative, flat team structure where you'll mentor junior colleagues and drive process improvements across multiple jurisdictions.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end month-end close and annual financial statements for international subsidiaries
• Lead initiatives to strengthen close processes including control enhancements and standardization
• Drive statutory reporting readiness and coordinate timelines across multiple countries
• Manage international audit execution from planning to completion
• Draft technical accounting memos for complex matters
• Streamline intercompany processes including billing, reconciliations, and eliminations
• Coordinate VAT filings across jurisdictions with Tax team and external advisors
• Partner with Legal, FP&A, and Payroll teams on accounting alignment
• Contribute to AI-driven projects in Finance Operations and explore automation opportunities
• Mentor junior teammates and create an empowering development environment

What you'll need

• 8+ years of accounting experience across multiple countries or legal entities
• Proven track record running full month-end close processes independently
• Practical experience with VAT filings across different jurisdictions
• Experience in scale-up or fast-growth environments
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or HGB accounting standards
• Genuine excitement about AI and its potential in finance
• Strong mentoring skills and enjoys supporting less experienced colleagues
• Clear English communication skills
• Precision and attention to detail by nature
• Thrives in flat, collaborative team structures
