Product Engineer - Renewable Energy Hardware

We are looking for a Product Engineer (f/m/x) who takes technical ownership of energy systems across the full lifecycle – from technical concept and system definition through validation, integration, testing, and operational performance. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, suppliers, and operations with focus on system-level responsibility for scalable, reliable, and field-ready energy solutions.

What you'll do

• Own the technical concept and design of AC-side energy systems
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Quality, Procurement) to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Lead validation, testing strategy, and performance verification across lab and field environments
• Drive hands-on troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis on hardware systems
• Support prototyping, commissioning, and integration of new components into existing systems
• Contribute to system-level decisions around reliability, cost, and scalability

What you'll need

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Power Systems, or similar
• Experience in AC systems, inverter technology, storage systems, or power electronics
• Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or lab-based hardware work
• System-level engineering mindset with strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience working with suppliers and technical validation processes
• Understanding of EU/German electrical standards
• Fluent English, German is a plus
