As an Expert in Group Accounting, you will take ownership of complex consolidation and reporting topics, contribute to Enpal's IFRS and HGB consolidated financial statements, and work closely with accounting teams and senior Finance stakeholders across the Group.
What you'll do
- Take end-to-end ownership of complex Group Accounting and consolidation topics and play a key role in preparing Enpal's consolidated financial statements under IFRS and HGB.
- Analyze and validate Group financial results, challenge inconsistencies and unusual developments, and work with local accounting teams to resolve issues before consolidation.
- Perform and review key consolidation activities, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, equity consolidation and Group-level adjustments.
- Perform analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet movements, identify significant variances and develop a strong understanding of the key drivers behind the Group's financial results.
- Prepare and improve Group-level analyses, reconciliations and reporting schedules and ensure consistency between underlying accounting records, consolidation data and reported Group figures.
- Manage and coordinate IFRS and HGB Group audits, acting as a central point of contact for external auditors and driving audit requests and open items through to resolution.
- Work closely with GL Accounting, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Tax and other Finance teams to understand business developments and their impact on Group reporting.
- Support the integration of new entities and changes in the Group structure and contribute to the continuous improvement and scalability of Enpal's consolidation and reporting processes.
What you'll need
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or comparable field with several years of relevant experience in Group Accounting, consolidation, financial reporting or audit, ideally in a complex or international organization.
- Strong IFRS and HGB knowledge and hands-on experience preparing consolidated financial statements within complex Group structures.
- Solid understanding of consolidation topics, including intercompany eliminations, equity consolidation and Group-level adjustments.
- Experience analyzing Group financial results and connecting accounting and consolidation data with underlying business developments.
- Strong technical accounting expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset and ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Ability to take ownership of complex topics, work independently and proactively identify issues, investigate root causes and drive them through to resolution.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and coordinating across different Accounting and Finance functions. Experience with LucaNet or another consolidation/reporting system is a strong advantage.
- Confident English communication; German is a strong advantage. Experience in Audit or Accounting Advisory.
