About the role
Join the Enpal Energy team to help build Europe's leading platform to manage and orchestrate millions of distributed energy assets — laying the foundation for the largest Virtual Power Plant (VPP) in Europe.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain a Postgres backend (Supabase), write Python pipelines, sync data across systems (Snowflake, Airtable, internal DBs).
- Work on projects end to end — understand the problem, build the solution, ship it, iterate.
- Build internal tools that ops and business teams actually use daily; frontend in Next.js is a plus but not a requirement.
- Pull data, analyse it, and surface what matters — less BI dashboard, more investigative instinct; you find the story in the numbers.
- Build and improve AI agents that are already in production — make them more reliable, cheaper, easier to maintain.
- Handle many different things in parallel across teams — you won't have a narrow lane, you'll have 10 things at once and you'll manage that without dropping them.
What you'll need
- Strong with Python; SQL, Next.js or any JS framework is a bonus
- You've shipped agents — not just used ChatGPT, but wired up tool calls, used a real harness (LangGraph, Claude SDK, MCP, anything serious), and have something to show for it.
- You have side projects you're genuinely obsessed about — things you took from zero to one yourself
- You come from a fast-moving environment; you're comfortable starting work without a fully written brief
- You can talk to an engineer and an ops person about the same problem and land differently with each
- Curious by default — you dig into why something broke, not just that it broke
