About the role

As an engineer at Ecosia, you will work with a recently formed cross-functional team to support our marketing efforts by improving communication channels with our users, from acquisition to retention. Day-to-day, you will dive deep into our frontend (including backend-of-the-frontend) tech stack, improving the capabilities of our user engagement platform (Braze), creating landing pages, building emails, improving conversion tracking, and more.

What you'll do

  • Build, test, and deploy different products and integrations inside Ecosia products (client and server-side).
  • Contribute to a range of marketing needs, including CRM and analytics tooling integration, email, notifications, and other communication touch points with our users.
  • Collaborate with engineers from different teams, sharing what you know and learning from their experience.

What you'll need

  • Experience building and deploying production code in JavaScript.
  • Experience in different testing methodologies.
  • Motivated to dive deep technically, learn and apply best practices, and grow professionally.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Product, Design, Marketing, and other engineers.
  • Clear communication in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • Marketing conversion tracking technologies, e.g., Google Tag Manager.
  • Marketing content tools, e.g., Braze, HubSpot.
  • Typescript and static site generators, in Vue.js or equivalent (e.g., React).
