About the role
As Customer Deployment Lead, you own what happens after the contract is signed. You work side by side with Beni (CEO), Niklas (COO), and Shane (CTO) and every customer deployment is your responsibility — no established playbook, no existing team, no inherited process. The vision is simple: every customer goes live fast, stays live, and never needs a founder in the loop to get there.
What you'll do
- Own the onboarding pipeline end-to-end — from signed contract to confirmed first value and beyond. Shield engineers from onboarding work and build toward a process that runs without any engineer involvement.
- Be the technical bridge — translate business requirements from procurement leads and IT departments into clear integration specs. ERP, DMS, email infra — flag risks early and hand off cleanly.
- Build the support foundation — support system, ticketing workflows, escalation paths, integration partner network. Where live customers hit issues, you handle them yourself.
- Support sales with technical credibility — engage with customer IT departments during the sales cycle on security, compliance, and implementation questions, in German.
- Drive enablement and change management — run key user trainings and ensure customers get real value from day one. Think about how to automate this as you scale.
- Feed learnings back into the product — capture recurring challenges, feedback, and edge cases and translate them into actionable input for product and engineering. Weekly, not quarterly.
What you'll need
- 2–3 years in consulting or structured implementation, plus the startup bug — you've run complex projects with senior client stakeholders, diligently, on time.
- Builder, not operator — you want to build onboarding playbooks, partner frameworks, and support infrastructure from scratch. Ambiguity doesn't slow you down.
- Ability to hold the room with IT departments and senior management without hand-holding — spot risks and build trust fast.
- Project management in your DNA — multiple deployments in parallel, shifting priorities, competing stakeholders, all tracked and moving.
- Someone others want to follow — the kind of person who attracts talent and sets the standard for how deployment works.
- Native German, strong professional English (C1+).
