About the role
Lead the Deposits Payments Team as an Engineering Manager, responsible for building and maintaining Raisin's core payment orchestration platform between customers and deposit-taking banks. You'll combine technical leadership with people management while remaining a hands-on contributor to the team's Java and Python backend systems.
What you'll do
- Manage the full E2E delivery cycle from requirements analysis through design, implementation, QA, delivery, and support
- Write clean, maintainable code in Java and Python while maintaining high performance and availability standards
- Collaborate with Product Manager and Tech Lead on strategy and delivery planning
- Drive OKR process including objective communication, key result definition, and team commitment
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new engineers to the team
- Develop team members' technical and soft skills through coaching and individual development plans
- Provide 24/7 runtime support for team services and resolve impediments proactively
- Foster open communication and maintain performance standards for direct reports
What you'll need
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of leadership/people management experience in remote setup
- Minimum 8 years hands-on Backend Software Engineering experience
- Strong experience with Java, Springboot, and modern backend technologies
- Experience with AWS Services, Kubernetes, and Event-Driven architectures
- Hands-on experience managing technical platform transitions
- Fluent English communication skills
