Forward Deployed Procurement Engineer

About the role

As one of the first Forward Deployed Procurement Engineers, you will work in customer value creation and support and bridge our product capabilities with what procurement teams actually need, drive value from day one and feed learnings back into the product.

What you'll do

• Become a subject-matter expert in Delvo's platform and procurement best practices; confidently demo, configure and roll out our solution with customers.
• Lead onboarding sessions for new customers – prepare materials, guide users through configuration and ensure they reach their first "aha" moments quickly.
• Embed with enterprise procurement teams to understand their organizational structure, workflows and pain points; design dedicated workflows on Delvo that solve real problems.
• Understand each client's tool landscape from a technical perspective, identify integration pain points, define the optimal technical setup for their environment, and translate these insights into product requirements.
• Provide day-to-day support: triage issues, answer user questions.
• Serve as the voice of the customer – capture feedback and feature requests, translate them into actionable insights.
• Develop playbooks, training materials and best practices to scale onboarding and adoption across multiple customers.

What you'll need

• Background in procurement, strategic sourcing or buyer operations with a deep understanding of how procurement teams operate.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills – able to build trusted relationships with our users.
• Comfortable running workshops and training sessions.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate qualitative feedback into structured requirements and measure value creation.
• Fluent in English & German as many of our customers are based in DACH.
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and enjoys working closely with customers.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered products or procurement software (e.g. SAP, Coupa).
• Experience in customer success, solution consulting or SaaS implementations.
