About the role
As the Head of Data, you will be the visionary leader responsible for defining and executing our company data strategy. You will lead our data team to build a world-class data platform that bridges the gap between technical engineering and business value.
What you'll do
- Own the data roadmap, transitioning the team from a hands-on setup phase to a scalable, strategic function that supports the entire organization
- Directly manage, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team of 4 individuals consisting of a Data Engineer, an Analytics Engineer, and Analysts, focusing on maximizing team efficiency, fostering greater ownership, and promoting the capabilities and professional fulfillment of your direct reports
- Partner with the Post-Sales team to make QBRs reliable, self-service and automated, ensuring we can clearly demonstrate the value of our product through insights for our global clients such as H&M, Sephora and Adidas
- Oversee the transition toward a unified data platform that integrates Product Analytics, Business Decision Making and Machine Learning workloads
- Set the standards for data governance, reliability, and resilience across our modern data stack (with tools including BigQuery, DBT and Kafka)
- Act as the key bridge between R&D and business stakeholders, ensuring data is a first-class citizen in all decision-making
What you'll need
- 7-10 years of leadership experience managing data teams, ideally having managed through a "scale-up" phase in at least two different companies
- The ability to utilize and transform hands-on experience into focus on project management, team health, and high-level architectural planning
- A deep understanding of B2B-the SaaS business models and experience working with cross-functional business stakeholders
- While this is not a hands-on role, a strong grasp of data lakes, streaming architectures and modern DWH concepts are must have
- Strong ability to translate complex data infrastructure challenges into business impact for non-technical leadership
