About the role

We're looking for a People Operations Coordinator (Germany) who won't just provide outstanding day-to-day service, but will help us shift from manual execution to scalable solutions — self-service, AI-assisted support, smart knowledge bases, and automation-driven workflows. This role is based in Berlin.

What you'll do

  • Be the main point of contact for employees, managers, and key stakeholders in our German entity, providing accurate, efficient, and compliant day-to-day People Ops support (policies, contracts, benefits, leave/absence, labor-law-related questions, and visa/admin topics where applicable).
  • Ensure strong data quality and operational rigor by maintaining People records in Workday and managing requests smoothly through Jira Service Management.
  • Act as an AI and automation champion within People Operations: continuously spot opportunities, test solutions and emerging platforms, and implement AI/automation to reduce repetitive work, speed up resolution times, and surface insights.
  • Partner closely with Payroll, People Partners, People Relations, and People Systems to resolve requests efficiently, improve handoffs, and deliver a consistent employee experience.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree (field flexible). What matters most is ownership, sharp problem-solving, clear communication, curiosity, and the ability to learn fast.
  • First experience in a company environment (internship, working student, or entry-level). Bonus if you've supported HR Ops / People Services or other operational service teams.
  • AI-native and automation-minded: you've actively used AI tools and automation/workflow tools (no-code/low-code and/or light scripting) to redesign workflows and can share concrete outcomes.
  • Builder mindset with "ops product" thinking: you map processes, find root causes, prototype improvements, and iterate based on feedback and data.
  • Confident working with operational systems and maintaining high data quality; ideally exposure to Workday, Jira Service Management, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

  • German and/or additional languages

What they offer

  • Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs
  • Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year
  • Hybrid working: three days in office (Mon, Tue, Thu), two days optional at home
  • Monthly transportation and fitness budget
  • Language reimbursement program
  • Health and wellness benefits
