KYC Intern

About the role

This is a KYC Operations internship at Moss, a Berlin-based FinTech scale-up, focused on customer onboarding and compliance. You'll gain hands-on experience in Know-Your-Customer processes, anti-money laundering regulations, and fraud prevention across European markets. The role requires at least 6 months full-time commitment with initial on-site training followed by hybrid work.

What you'll do

• Assist with customer onboarding processes and eventually perform them independently under guidance
• Conduct customer due diligence by collecting and verifying information for AML compliance
• Review and verify documents including identification records, financial statements, and contact information
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and communicate effectively
• Review, optimize and improve internal processes for smooth customer experience

What you'll need

• Interest or initial experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in Banking or FinTech
• Fluent in German (B2) and English (B2)
• Clear communication skills with ability to explain complex topics to various audiences
• Strong attention to detail for precise data analysis and documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage changing challenges to meet deadlines
• Investigative mindset for research, critical thinking, and risk assessment

Nice to have

• Dutch, French, or Spanish language skills
