M&A Analyst - Internship

About the role

This is a strategic M&A internship reporting directly to the Founder of an AI-driven industrial trade platform. You'll drive deal acquisitions across the full lifecycle, from sourcing and outreach to financial analysis and strategic evaluation. The role offers direct exposure to real investment decisions with significant responsibility and performance-based upside.

What you'll do

• Research markets and build lists of potential acquisition targets
• Conduct outbound outreach including cold calls and emails to founders and owner-operators
• Track outreach and maintain pipeline using Salesforce
• Screen opportunities and prepare materials for deals progressing toward LOI
• Support financial modeling, valuation, and strategic fit analysis
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and basic diligence
• Assist with build-vs-buy analyses and strategic research
• Prepare presentation materials and summaries for internal review
• Contribute to post-acquisition integration planning and tracking

What you'll need

• MBA candidate interested in search funds, investing or PE
• Fluency in German and English (written and verbal)
• Strong analytical and research skills
• High-energy, resilience and executor mindset
• Comfortable with rejection, repetition, and accountability
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
