About the role
This is a maternity/parental leave cover position starting on the 1st of May until 15.Oct 2027. Be the heartbeat of Hive's Berlin HQ and make the office hum at one of Europe's fastest-growing logistics startups.
What you'll do
- Be the heartbeat of Hive's Berlin HQ: keep the office clean, safe, well-stocked, and a place people genuinely enjoy showing up to every day, because culture starts at the front door
- Own all vendor and facility relationships: from building management and cleaning crews to catering partners, always finding smarter, better ways to get things done
- Take full ownership of procurement: order supplies, furniture, and consumables, track budgets closely, and negotiate with vendors to get the best deals for Hive
- Keep our workspace organised and functional as we grow: manage desk assignments, meeting room schedules, and layout changes with a step ahead of the team's needs
- Plan and execute memorable internal events: team lunches, seasonal celebrations, all-hands, and offsites. Taking end-to-end ownership of logistics, budgets, and vendor management
- Ensure every visitor, candidate, and client gets a great first impression of Hive Berlin, while partnering closely with People Ops, Finance, and IT to keep everything running like clockwork
What you'll need
- Exceptional organisational instincts: you can juggle a dozen priorities without dropping a single ball
- Strong communicator in English; conversational German for day-to-day vendor interactions (our working language is English)
- You take genuine pride in the details: a fully stocked kitchen, a smooth visitor experience, an event that people talk about for weeks
- Proactive and resourceful: you don't wait to be asked, you spot the gap and fix it
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with People Ops, Finance, and IT in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to have
- Familiarity with German workplace health & safety regulations is a strong plus
