About the role

An experienced auditor role focused on translating complex audit standards into structured logic that software can execute at scale. You will bring deep field knowledge of how audits work and design the systems that make manual checklists unnecessary.

What you'll do

• Design audit logic by taking complex requirements from ISA and IDW standards and translating them into clear, structured workflows that the software can follow.
• Guide analysis of complex documents, shaping how the software reads and interprets contracts and financial statements for areas like lease accounting and revenue recognition.
• Safeguard auditor independence by designing checks that prevent over-reliance on automated outputs and ensure compliance with IDW PS 210.
• Own documentation quality to ensure every output is structured for clean integration into the working paper file in line with IDW PS 450.
• Represent Cortea externally at industry events, contribute to publications, and engage with regulators on technology's role in the audit profession.

What you'll need

• At least 6 years of professional audit experience, ideally at a Big 4 or leading mid-market firm, with experience at Prüfungsleiter level.
• Strong command of IDW PS, ISA, and HGB, with ability to turn standards into reproducible processes.
• Structured thinking: map decision trees, specify what inputs a check needs, and describe what a correct result looks like.
• Native or near-native fluency in German and English (C1+).
