About the role
Scout24 is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead their reliability program across the organization and drive a culture where reliability is embedded in engineering practices. You'll work within the Application Platform team to shape Scout24's engineering culture and drive organizational-level reliability initiatives.
What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive reliability strategies that align with business outcomes
- Research, engineer and experiment with new ways to improve observability platform and tooling
- Lead definition of reliability targets (SLOs) that enable data-driven decision making
- Guide technical roadmap for reliability and observability across Scout24
- Own and continuously improve incident handling processes and automation
- Foster blameless culture of learning from incidents across the company
- Lead definition and implementation of disaster recovery framework in the cloud
- Partner with Platform teams to build observability and reliability tooling
- Provide technical leadership on reliability to engineers, managers, and product managers
- Report key reliability KPIs and metrics to leadership with actionable insights
- Lead larger projects with uncertainty and risk, guiding other engineers
- Work with vendors to develop business and technical relationships
What you'll need
- Senior-level experience in site reliability engineering and platform engineering
- Strong background in observability, monitoring, and reliability tooling
- Experience with incident management processes and disaster recovery frameworks
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives at organizational level
- Experience working with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices
- Strong collaboration skills to work across engineering, product, and other departments
- Ability to mentor and guide other engineers on reliability practices
