Full-Stack Software Engineer - Payments

About the role

You'll architect financial systems that power the global energy transition, building robust payment lifecycles and seamless checkout experiences. As a Full-stack Software Engineer, you'll take technical ownership of key systems, drive architectural decisions, and ensure scalability and reliability of business-critical applications.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain business-critical systems across the full stack, from scalable backend services to performant frontends
• Translate complex business problems into clear, actionable technical solutions
• Champion clean architecture, component reusability, and maintainable UI patterns using modern frameworks like React and Next.js
• Drive experiment-driven innovation and uphold strong engineering practices in testing, CI/CD, observability, and code quality
• Continuously improve developer experience by reducing technical debt, automating workflows, and documenting processes
• Operate in an asynchronous, outcome-oriented environment while managing work autonomously
• Contribute to lightweight project management by defining milestones and aligning engineering work with product goals

What you'll need

• Experience writing maintainable, reusable, and testable code in TypeScript with strong frontend and backend skills
• Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and system integration (RESTful or GraphQL)
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end, from UX and architecture to deployment and monitoring
• Pragmatic, product-focused mindset that balances technical excellence with customer value delivery
• Curiosity and initiative to explore new tools and methods for improving product quality
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Residency in Germany
