What you'll do
- Manage strain engineering projects from experimental design and wet-lab execution to in silico data analysis.
- Run high-throughput screenings of strain libraries for the production of recombinant molecules, such as peptides, enzymes and structural proteins.
- Improve strain performance and support the up-scaling of commercial production strains.
- Support the bioprocess team by running controlled fermentations at lab-scale.
- Support and guide junior team members.
- Collaborate with computational engineers to enhance platform tools and manage large datasets from high-throughput screenings.
- Ensure data integrity across screening campaigns and conduct data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
- Present and communicate your work on a regular basis to internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong experience with molecular biology techniques.
- Strong experience with yeast biology (experience with Pichia is a plus).
- Experience with high-throughput techniques and lab automation.
- Proficient in the use of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
Nice to have
- Experience with controlled fermentations in bioreactors.
- Understanding of both computational biology and machine learning methodologies.
