Procurement Director , Trading

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven (Senior) Director of Procurement to lead supplier acquisition and management across existing and emerging markets. This critical leadership role drives the expansion of our global supplier ecosystem through strategic partnerships, streamlined and scalable onboarding, and strong supplier engagement, while leading the optimization and automation of end-to-end procurement processes.

What you'll do

• Build a robust, high-quality supplier network with high retention and engagement across existing and emerging markets
• Meet or exceed supplier revenue targets by ensuring high availability and competitive prices
• Secure long-term agreements, capture emerging opportunities, and drive successful entry into new markets with strong competitive positioning
• Enable exceptional supplier experience through strong cross-functional collaboration
• Lead a high-performing, motivated procurement and business development team
• Streamline processes, reduce time-to-onboard suppliers, and improve overall procurement efficiency
• Drive accurate, actionable reporting that drives continuous improvement and informs executive strategy

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's in Business or related field
• 3–7 years in competitive environments, preferably Tier-1 consulting
• Expertise in procurement strategy and transformation
• Passionate about high-growth startups and transforming traditional industries
• Strong analytical, communication, and hands-on execution skills
• Proactive, independent, and able to engage directly with stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience in marketplaces, SaaS, or construction/infrastructure
• German fluency
