About the role
We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our Berlin team, reporting directly to the Founder and COO. You will serve as a strategic partner to the management team, driving the company's global legal strategy, governance, and compliance as we scale internationally. You'll lead a small, high-performing Legal team covering commercial, data privacy, and corporate matters.
What you'll do
- Lead and scale Talon.One's legal strategy, operations, and processes to support global business objectives
- Serve as primary legal advisor to the Founder, COO, and management team on strategic and operational decisions
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to negotiate and manage SaaS contracts
- Oversee commercial law, corporate governance, data privacy (GDPR), IP, employment, and international expansion
- Design efficient legal processes that enable growth while maintaining compliance and mitigating risk
- Guide the business in assessing and categorizing legal risk to help leadership make informed decisions
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing legal team
- Manage and coordinate external legal support across multiple jurisdictions
What you'll need
- 15+ years of post-qualification legal experience with significant B2B SaaS or tech scale-up exposure
- Qualified to practice law in Europe (German or UK qualification preferred)
- Deep experience with commercial contracting, data protection (GDPR), corporate governance, and international expansion
- Proven success leading and developing a legal team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong business acumen with excellent legal judgment
- Comfortable balancing hands-on work with strategic oversight
- Fluent in English
