About the role
You'll work directly with our CCO Thies on the engine that drives Buena's growth: our M&A pipeline. Every property manager in Germany is a potential acquisition target; your job is to make sure we know about every single one of them. In your first quarter, you'll have built the full target universe for us. By the end of year one, you'll be running outbound campaigns, managing working students, and feeding Thies and the deal team with the conversations that move the company forward.
What you'll do
- Build the target universe: Every property manager in Germany on one list with revenue, headcount, locations, ownership structure, and signal of intent to sell.
- Build the sourcing engine, not just the list. Design funnels from cold target to qualified conversation, automated email sequences, pipeline management, and creative outbound campaigns.
- Run market research at the edges by picking up the phone and talking to property managers directly.
- Grow the function by hiring and managing working students to extend coverage, and work closely with the creative director on campaign messaging.
- Report directly to the CCO with no middle layers.
What you'll need
- Fluent German (C2). Most targets, their public filings, and conversations are in German.
- Structured and obsessive about data quality. A list with 80% of the targets and 60% accuracy is useless.
- Resourceful in research using Handelsregister, Northdata, LinkedIn, company websites, phone calls, industry directories.
- Move fast. Rather ship a v1 of the list today and improve it weekly than spend three weeks perfecting it.
- Want to learn the M&A craft from the inside and see every deal.
- Based in Berlin or willing to relocate; this is an in-office role in Prenzlauer Berg.

- You've built a real outbound or sourcing motion from scratch: a database, a campaign, a deal pipeline, or a recruiting funnel.
