About the role

Growth Marketing Manager reporting to the VP Property Management, instrumental in shaping the future of the portfolio companies' growth across all German locations. In your first quarter, you'll be hands-on across paid, SEO, lifecycle, partnerships, and local activations. By the end of year one, you'll have a repeatable playbook and the first hires reporting to you to scale it.

What you'll do

  • Partner with portco heads on conversion. Generating leads is half the job. The other half is working with local heads in Hamburg, Magdeburg, Berlin, and beyond to make sure those leads turn into signed property management contracts.
  • Build the growth playbook from zero. There's no existing channel mix, no attribution stack, no agency relationships you're inheriting. You'll decide what we run, where we spend, and how we measure and you'll have it live within your first 30 days.
  • Build the local growth motion. Most of our customers are local homeowners and small landlords. You'll design events, broker partnerships, referral loops, and offline activations that work city by city and create a template that travels when we enter the next market.
  • Report directly to the VP Property Management and to the Leadership Team. You'll present growth numbers in our weekly business reviews.

What you'll need

  • Speak fluent German (C2). Our portcos operate locally, and our customers are German homeowners.
  • You've actually done growth. You've had a budget, run the campaigns, and can tell us the numbers you moved, not strategies you "contributed to."
  • Live in the data. You set up your own tracking, design your own experiments, and don't need a BI team to tell you whether something worked.
  • Think commercially. CAC, payback, contribution margin, these are your default units, not vanity metrics like impressions or MQLs.
  • Thrive in ambiguity: you're energized (not paralyzed) by being the first growth hire and building the playbook from scratch
  • Are based in Berlin or willing to relocate; this is an in-office role in Prenzlauer Berg

Nice to have

  • You've freelanced in GTM or growth, built and sold a product, or run your own venture.

What they offer

  • Up to €500 close-to-office bonus, if you live within 10-20 mins walking distance to the office.
  • €110/month lunch budget, €50 fitness subsidy.
  • €1,200 yearly education budget.
  • Free books: Buena pays for any book you'd like to read.
