About the role
We are building a real driverless vehicle from scratch on public roads with real safety requirements. You'll help define and ship the next generation of autonomous driving across our full stack: sensors to AI to vehicle actuation.
What you'll do
- Design, build, test, and ship our autonomous driving stack across perception, scene understanding, sensor fusion, localization, prediction, planning, and vehicle control
- Develop and deploy AI models for real-world driving on embedded platforms (NVIDIA Jetson)
- Integrate multi-sensor systems spanning cameras, radar, LiDAR, GNSS/IMU, and vehicle state
- Connect software with real vehicles through CAN, drive-by-wire, and safety controllers
- Build infrastructure for data collection, labeling, simulation, replay, and shadow mode testing
- Debug problems at the intersection of AI, robotics, embedded systems, and vehicle hardware
- Ship improvements into real vehicles every week
What you'll need
- Generalist engineer comfortable moving between ML, robotics, software engineering, and embedded systems
- Built real systems taken from idea to deployment to field test, not just prototypes or research demos
- Strong background in one or more of: deep learning, computer vision, sensor fusion, planning and control, localization/SLAM, real-time systems, or GPU optimization
- Experience with Python, C++, PyTorch, CUDA, TensorRT, ROS2, Linux, Docker, or GStreamer
- Make good technical decisions with incomplete information and don't need a perfect spec to get started
Nice to have
- Experience with Autoware, NVIDIA tooling, or real vehicle deployment
What they offer
- Competitive salary and meaningful equity
- Based in Berlin, building globally relevant technology
