About the role
We are looking for an Interim Senior Accountant (preferably with Workday Financials experience) to join our global team. You will actively contribute by shaping our Accounting landscape and support us in building best-in-class Accounting structures and capabilities.
What you'll do
- Generally, supporting Accounting processes and reporting
- Making sure that monthly reports and annual financial statements of Blacklane companies are in accordance with local & international GAAP
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Driving efficiency through the simplification of operations and processes
- Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial statements in accordance with IFRS requirements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Supporting the evolution of our Workday implementation on the way to a world-class fast-close process
What you'll need
- Advanced degree in Accounting or a related field. Extensive professional experience in Accounting, preferably in Tech or fast-growing companies. Experience working for an internationally organised group of companies is a strong plus. Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS. Good knowledge of German payroll regulations and processes, including tax, social security, and statutory reporting requirements
- Proficiency in VAT regulations and compliance, including the preparation and submission of VAT returns, to ensure accurate tax reporting and adherence to legal requirements
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Fluent in English (German is a plus), with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
