Mobile Test Automation Specialist (Berlin/London/Paris)

About the role

You'll own Trade Republic's mobile testing platform across Android and iOS, building frameworks and infrastructure that enable millions of users to trust their financial platform. This role focuses on setting testing strategy, improving speed and reliability, and empowering development teams to ship with confidence without centralized QA.

What you'll do

• Own the mobile testing platform including frameworks, pipelines, device labs, and test data
• Set lean testing strategy and quality gates to enable faster shipping with confidence
• Drive speed and reliability through parallelization, sharding, caching, and flake detection
• Build signal and visibility with dashboards, coverage insights, and flaky test heatmaps
• Enable teams to self-serve quality through runbooks, standards, audits, and coaching

What you'll need

• 3+ years in mobile test automation/quality engineering for Android and/or iOS at scale
• Deep experience with Espresso/XCTest
• Hands-on CI/CD experience for mobile tests and release pipelines (Github Actions, Kubernetes, Gradle/AGP, xcodebuild)
• Strong Kotlin or Swift skills with ability to debug across UI, network, storage, and concurrency
• Excellent communication and cross-team influence skills

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of cross-platform tools like Appium/Detox/Maestro
• Device lab fluency with emulators/simulators, Firebase Test Lab/BrowserStack/Sauce/AWS
