About the role
We're hiring an Organic Growth Lead to own and scale Blacklane's organic growth engine. In this role, you will be responsible for how people discover and book Blacklane organically through traditional Search (SEO), AI Engine Optimisation (AEO), Blog & Content and third-party websites.
What you'll do
- Define and own the organic growth strategy for Blacklane across SEO, content, and AI‑influenced discovery (LLMs, AI Overviews, Answer Engines, et al)
- Set clear objectives for organic channels (traffic, new customers, bookings, revenue contribution, efficiency) and how they support overall financial objectives
- Line manage and support the Organic Growth team, setting direction, giving regular feedback, and creating space for progression
- Design and embed processes for experimentation and prioritisation so the team is always working on the highest‑impact initiatives
- Define the measurement framework for organic channels, including traffic, bookings, performance, contribution to CAC and LTV, and emerging AI‑related visibility metrics
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to ship the technical, structural, and UX changes required for search and AI‑driven discovery
- Stay close to changes in search, AI products, and discovery behaviour, and turn them into concrete, prioritised actions for the team
- Maintain a prioritised roadmap that balances technical foundations, content, AEO/answer engine work, and conversion improvements
What you'll need
- 8+ years' experience in organic growth, SEO, or content‑led acquisition, ideally in consumer, travel, mobility, marketplace, or other multi‑market businesses
- Deep capability in at least one area (technical SEO, content SEO, programmatic SEO, or ASO) and strong working knowledge of the others
- Experience working with, or a strong point of view on, answer engine optimisation and AI‑driven discovery
- A track record of driving commercial outcomes (e.g. bookings, revenue, pipeline, LTV) from organic channels, not just visibility metrics
- Previous experience managing people, including setting expectations, giving feedback, and supporting development
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills: able to influence and align cross‑functional partners and explain complex topics in simple terms
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Nice to have
- Experience in premium or luxury brands where brand, service quality, and performance all matter
- Practical familiarity with LLM and answer‑engine behaviour (e.g. entity management, structured data, "answer‑ready" content formats)
- Experience with CRO and experimentation on high‑intent landing pages
- Direct collaboration with paid media teams on joint testing and blended performance
