About the role

Lead sales strategy and execution across Europe (excluding DACH) and APAC for AMBOSS's university partnerships. You'll develop market understanding, drive deal velocity, and lead a distributed team of 5–6 sales professionals while expanding our B2B footprint in these high-growth regions.

What you'll do

  • Be in the field across Europe and APAC to understand customer needs firsthand and represent AMBOSS at key events (travel at least 30%)
  • Step into critical deals as an active partner, co-owning strategy, messaging, and negotiation
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (deans, educators, librarians) and remove friction in sales processes
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–6 direct reports; review pipelines together, go onsite, and actively support unblocking deals
  • Strengthen account management practices and identify up- and cross-sell opportunities as product portfolio grows
  • Build a reliable, data-informed view of pipeline, performance, and forecasts
  • Act as sparring partner for sales leaders in other regions and collaborate across marketing, product, customer success, and data teams

What you'll need

  • 6+ years of proven sales/business development success in consultative, relationship-driven sales environments
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience selling to universities or similar environments (medical education/edtech or academic/governmental)
  • Excellent English and strong customer-facing communication skills; additional languages welcome
  • Ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with senior academic stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel ~30% with genuine cultural awareness and experience working across Europe and APAC
  • Proficient with CRM tools (HubSpot) and Google Workspace applications
