About the role

You'll work as a Working Student Software Engineer contributing to building financial engines and payment systems that power the global energy transition. This is a collaborative role where you'll support the development team while learning best practices in secure development and financial operations.

What you'll do

  • Support the development team as a Full-stack Engineer, contributing to real-world features in an agile environment
  • Assist in building and maintaining core business systems with both backend services and responsive frontends
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement solutions for defined business requirements
  • Apply best practices in clean architecture and modern UI patterns using React or Next.js
  • Contribute to code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Help improve developer experience by assisting with documentation and workflow automation
  • Manage tasks effectively in an asynchronous environment and provide regular progress updates
  • Participate in technical feasibility discussions and align development tasks with team milestones

What you'll need

  • Currently enrolled at a university and able to contribute 20 hours per week
  • Studying a relevant degree program (Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science)
  • Foundational experience writing clean, testable TypeScript code
  • Basic understanding of modern frontend frameworks and backend logic
  • Solid grasp of web fundamentals, including API interaction (RESTful or GraphQL)
  • Product-oriented mindset and interest in how technical decisions impact user experience
  • High curiosity and initiative to explore new tools and engineering trends
  • Excellent written and spoken English and valid work permit for Germany
