About the role
You will own the technical side of our ERP platform: configuring it, building API integrations between the ERP and external systems (e-commerce, payments, accounting), hardening security and access control, and shipping LLM-powered agents that read company data and surface insights or trigger actions. High autonomy, real ownership, direct collaboration with the founders and a small team.
What you'll do
- Configure, customize and maintain our ERP system and its modules.
- Build and maintain Python integrations between the ERP and external services (e-commerce, payments, accounting tools, Google Workspace).
- Implement web security best practices: OAuth, API key management, access control, secrets handling, data protection.
- Stand up and maintain a knowledge-base.
- Manage Git/GitHub-based deployments, staging environments and code review.
What you'll need
- Strong working proficiency in Python where you can build production-grade scripts, integrations and modules.
- You have built and consumed APIs in real projects, handled auth, errors, rate limits and pagination.
- Comfortable with branches, pull requests, code review and Git-driven deployments.
- You can write joins and aggregations, debug slow queries, and read an existing schema on SQL.
- Comfortable in a terminal, basic server admin, can read logs and write small shell scripts.
- OAuth, secret management, principle of least privilege, basic threat modelling. You know what not to commit to Git.
- English: C1 — required, non-negotiable. German: B2 or higher — strongly preferred.
- Valid Matriculation certificate is required for the Werkstudent contract under German law.
What they offer
- 20 hours/week during semester, up to 40 hours/week during semester breaks.
- Competitive Werkstudent rate, calibrated to experience.
- On site with hybrid work possible by agreement.
